China’s central bank is paying closer attention to stablecoins as privately issued digital currencies begin to play a larger role in cross-border payments and global settlement channels.

A group of six Republican senators sent off a letter to the country's top banking regulators last week, and the message was straightforward, it said the rules that prevent U.S. banks from holding digital assets need to go.

ICE first invested $1 billion into Polymarket back in October 2025, and this latest injection brings its total commitment to nearly $2 billion. Combined with plans to purchase up to $40 million of existing Polymarket shares, ICE has now fulfilled its entire investment agreement with the platform.
